SUVAT Equations¶
The SUVAT equations are a collection of 5 equations pertaining to constant acceleration. They are named SUVAT after the terms of which they involve.
- \(v = u + at\)
- \(s = ut + \frac{1}{2}at^2\)
- \(s = \frac{1}{2}(u + v)t\)
- \(v^2 = u^2 + 2as\)
- \(s = vt - \frac{1}{2}at^2\)
Its worth noting that only equation 4 is used at GCSE-level, and it will be provided on the equation sheet - in addition AQA provide the equation in a different form.
