Speciation

Speciation is the formation of a new species. Over time populations will become so vastly different from each other, they cannot inter-breed.

How

There are many ways in which speciation can occur, such as:

  • Geographical Isolation, populations of the same species become separated
  • Variation, individuals within those populations have different genes
  • Natural Selection, over time individuals in the population with worse genes die off, leaving the individuals with better genes behind
