Sex Determination

The sex of a living thing can be established through the special alleles that determine the sex. For example in humans, the X and Y chromosomes are used for determining sex, two X chromosomes - you're female, one of each - you're male.

Genetic Cross

You can use a genetic cross, to show the probabilities of the sex of a human baby.

X Y
X XX XY
X XX XY

Using the genetic cross, you can establish that there is equal chance, the baby being male or female.
