The Internet

The Internet is the world's largest WAN, and is a world-wide network. Some countries, such as China and North Korea, have their own domestic network, providing a nationwide intranet for their citizens.

Censorship

Some countries have passed laws to censor the access to the Internet to their citizens. For example, Turkey has over the past few years blocked access to social networks like Facebook and Twitter.
